1. Separation and docking experiment flight (FP-1)

(July 7, 1998)

    Docking approach and docking operations will be performed within 2m. In this flight, proximity operations, performance and functions of the Docking Mechanism (DM), the Proximity camera Sensor (PXS), and the PXS navigation will be verified.

3. In-orbit confirmation test of thruster abnormality

(July 7, 1998) (March 1 and 5 and 11, 1999 : on RVD mode)
(March 9, 1999 : on AOCS mode)

    In this flight, to acquire the data for the faulty cause survey of thruster, ETS-VII do manual injection of thruster several patterns with each RVD mode and AOCS mode in the condition which both satellites are connected.

4. R-bar approach experiment flight(FP-6)

    In this flight, Chaser satellite approaches Target satellite from R-ber. this experiment simulates and verifies a funtion of H-II Transfer Vehicle(HTV), which redezvous to ISS.

    In addition, demonstration of remote piloting and Collision Avoidance Maneuver(CAM) is carried out in this flight.
